The property is located on a 17-acre plot overlooking the Chattahoochee River and is one of the largest estates in Atlanta. It features seven bedrooms, a 70,000-gallon infinity pool, a ballroom, flood-lit tennis courts, private helipad, state-of-the-art gym, spa, theatre, indoor pool and housekeeper’s suite. An elevator transports residents between floors, and an impressive number of fountains decorate the outdoor courtyard areas. Tyler Perry originally purchased the property for $9 million US dollars back in 2007, and poured millions into completely renovating the estate. He eventually sold it to televangelist David Turner for $17.5 million US dollars in 2016. This was said to be noted as the highest price for a home sale in Atlanta at the time. The US actor and film producer Tyler Perry is one of the established greats of Hollywood’s entertainment industry. He has starred in film blockbusters including ‘Gone Girl’ and ‘Star Trek’, and gained enormous popularity with the series ‘Meet the Browns’. Since 2005, Tyler Perry has been known through the character ‘Madea’, who he has impersonated in several films. Forbes Magazine named him the highest-earning artist in the entertainment industry in 2011.
